TMNT Next Gen-Chapter 7—————————Skeleton Trip-What’s Hidden From Us—————————Back in the lair, the four girls rested on their bunks, not saying a word. Kiba was meditating, hands resting on her thighs as her fingers twitched. Irillia was sitting, legs crossed, and arms crossed as Slinky sat around her neck. Kohanna was laying face first into her pillow, arms draped over the end of her bed, while Iris just aggressively turned the pages of her book, glaring down at it. The sliding door opened, revealing Cody and Dakota, who just stood there staring at them. Kohanna lifted her head up to look down at them. “So what's the plan?” Cody scoffed, leaning against the door as he glared. “Our dad believes things are a bit too dangerous for reasons they aren't willing to tell us.” Dakota hissed, tapping his foot. The girls shifted their glances to them Iris even putting her book down. “And now we're stuck.” Cody added gritting his teeth. “Huh?” Irillia turned to them as her pet slithered down her arm. “Stuck?” Kiba asked, letting her legs rest on the edge of the bed. “Yeah stuck down here!” Dakota yelled, stepping forward. “Wait, then what about school? Your jobs? Or the hockey team?” Iris asked closing the book. The twins looked down. “It doesn't matter. All I know is that if our dad is this worried, something awful has to be happening.” Dakota said, placing his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. “Yeah, and usually, when he would have his freak-out moments, Mom would be able to calm him down.” Cody added, turning away from everyone. Dakota's face fell as the others stayed quiet. “Life sucks.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leatherhead and Spike laid there on the TCRI floor unconscious, with the Axolotl and Salmadrian contained behind them. They were both heavily wounded as they sat behind the fiberglass of their cell in chains. Vital looked down at the two reptiles, his sword in hand. “Persistent beasts. They still haven't spoken a word.” He growled with Chaplin beside him. “Well, if they can't give us locations, they can still be useful in testing. Those tissue samples will be helpful, but we could also use some neurochemical samples to observe the Antigen effects.” Vital smirked, holding his blade up. “Very well, live dissections it is.” He continued lowering the edge of his sword to the alligator's head. Leatherhead groaned his eyes barely opening and his limbs aching. The other two teammates gasped and pushed further against the glass as they saw Spike and Leatherhead. “Wait? No!” The Salamandrian yelled pulling on his restraints. Vital seemingly ignoring them placed the tip of his blade in between the mutants eyes. Leatherhead’s eyes turned white as he roared. “NAGH!” There was a searing pain piercing into his skull. The mutant now fully conscious thrashed himself around as he yelled, having to be held down by other soldiers as Vital forced the blade in deeper.“AGH!” “No!” The Axolotl mutant yelled before electric shocks were sent through the chains at their wrists. “Agh!” The masked soldier watched from the back before lowering his head, extra screams radiating in the room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mei, Ash, and Thalos were in their own area, soaking up the situation. Thalos looked up at his two cousins hanging on the hammocks above him and his pallet on the floor. “Do you guys know what's happening? I'm still kinda scared of that monster.” He said innocently, pulling his knees to his chest. Ash sighed. “Everything's fine. It's just a bit of an interesting situation.” Mei rolled over in her hammock, looking down at them. “Yeah, everything will turn out awesome.” She said, giving Thalos a thumbs up, making him smile. “Thanks, Mei. Thanks Ash. Good night.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following day Donnie, Angel, Vine, and Casey were in the lab around the desk. “Ok, we will need more supplies to create some kind of stabilizer, including more of that Antigen serum.” Donnie said, looking down at his laptop. “We only have the remnants of those darts they managed to hit Mondo and Rockwell with. All the other samples ran out after we studied it the first time over a decade ago.” Angel said, placing a map on the desk. “Also, our mutagen stockpile was taken from the mighty mutant animals after they were attacked. And a lot Mutagen is needed to do any research.” Donnie said, shaking his head. “Then what do we do? Go Mutagen hunting like you did after that Mutagen spill.” Casey said, crossing his arms. “Well, in order to gain more supplies, we will either have to use abandoned Kranng headquarters, military junkyards or ask Bishop for help.” Donnie added, circling locations on the map. “Bishop? Seriously? That guy wasn't willing to help us the first time. What makes you think he'll help now?” Casey asked, slamming his hand on the desk. “It's worth a shot, Casey, and now these Humanists have expanded their influence.” Vine added, standing next to Angel. “Also, the EPF are the only ones with legal access to Mutagen.” Angel added. “Ok, well, why are you telling us this instead of Leo.” Casey asked, turning back to Donnie. “Leo already knows the plan. We just need you three to talk to Bishop and the EPF.” Donnie said, pointing at them. “Why us? I'd much rather go into a military tech graveyard.” Casey groaned. “You three are the most human, and we'll need April to help move the tanks and Krang technology around. So you three are on EPF duty.” Donnie said, turning in his chair with his arms crossed. “Also, Vine should be able to use his mutant state for backup if needed.” Angel added, turning to her husband with a smirk. Vine snickered as Donnie spoke. “No threatening people, and that goes for you too, Jones.” Don added, making Casey roll his eyes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now in the main area, Iris was looking down at her book, a picture of a mastodon inside it. She smiled, turning the page, not noticing someone behind her. “So whatcha reading?” Mei asked, jumping up onto her shoulders. Iris's glasses fell off her face. “Huh? Oh. My mom had found this book on prehistoric mammals, so I thought it would be fun to give it a read.” She said, placing her glasses back on. “Fun? That sounds like torture. Why put yourself through this misery of learning when we don't have to go to school.” Mei said, laying herself across Iris's arms. Iris rolled her eyes. “Every family has that un-fun person Mei. It just so happens we have many of those.” Irillia said, standing in front of them before looking back at Kiba, who was watching TV. Iris scoffed. “Well, I'm sorry then. I guess it just so happens I enjoy doing something that's not crazy violent.” She groaned, closing her book and walking off. “Irillia.” A firm voice said from behind her, making her jump. Mona had her arms crossed in front of her. “You are almost too similar to your father.” She said, making Irillia laugh nervously. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A soldier walked through a containment area with multiple Mutants screeching and hollering. One of them being a large raccoon curled up in the corner of their cell, panting heavily. He paused turning the mutant as it scratched and pulled at its head. “No, no, no.” The Raccoon cried ducking its head to its knees. The soldier looked to the side before continuing on his way down the hall. A tall man and a woman with a prosthetic leg stood at the edge, observing the new mutant captives. “Hunter, it's important we remain diligent, so don't waste our time by having us wait here for you.” The woman said, turning to him. The soldier nodded. “My apologies, what is it you have for me?” The woman nodded before turning to the man beside her. “This is dirk savage, one of our highest-ranking Mutant containment enforcers. He will be going with you to retrieve the Kraathatrogon specimens from the natural history museum.” Hunter turned to the buff man with an eyepatch. “Oh well my name is Hunter, it’s nice to meet you sir.” He said holding his hand out. Dirk Savage smirked looking down at him. “Aren’t you a bit young? Your practically a child, what makes you think were equals here?” He said crossing his arms. “Well I assure you I’m not just equal, I’m better. And that’s why i was ordered to go on this mission to begin with.” The soldier said standing firm with his hand out still out. Dirk’s smirk only widened as he took his hand. “Now that’s what i like to see, good job kid.” He chuckled placing a hand on his hip. “Oh, uh, thanks? But back to the issue at hand, when will we be leaving to retrieve the Kraathatrogon’s?” The soldier asked taking his hand back from the Mutant hunters firm grip. The woman looked down at her projection watch. “Within the next 3 hours. Make sure not to waste any time, though. That director waiting for you can flip his character in a second.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iris sat on a kitchen stool, reading again as Ryan and Dakota entered the kitchen. “Hey Iris.” Ryan said, walking over to her as Dakota reached into the fridge. “Oh, hey, Uncle Ryan.” She said before noticing Dakota halfway inside the refrigerator. “Any plans for the day?” She asked, still looking confused. “I'm probably going to stay here for a couple days, you know, to help out with everything. I can still get architect plans done in the sewer, thankfully.” He laughed before taking a sip from his water. Iris snickered as Dakota now looked over her shoulder. “What the heck is that?” He asked, making her flinch. She looked down at her book, a large bear-like creature with long claws on the page. “Oh.” She laughed to herself. “That's a giant ground sloth.” She said, tilting her head to him with a smile. Dakota froze for a second, looking down at her. “Oh yeah, that was obvious.” He said, stepping back and crossing his arms. She turned back to the book, reading the text. “It says here they weighed over 4 tons and were near the size of a modern-day bull elephant.” She smiled, pulling the book closer to her face. Dakota tilted his head. “You know, I think I've seen one of those before.” Iris raised a brow at him. “Not alive. I think I saw a skeleton of one of those in the natural history museum.” He said, scratching the top of his head. “Really?” She asked, placing the book down. “Yep, it's true. I remember going there with Angel before. They have Dinosaurs, huge geodes, mummies. It's a colossal nerd fest.” Ryan added. “Whoah.” Iris looked down at her book. “Not to mention all the art.” Dakota smiled watching Iris read. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leo and Raph were training in the dojo. “Ok, so how are we going to handle having two extra teens here. We can only sustain ourselves for so long.” Raph said, blocking a hit from Leo before twisting to kick him. “Yeah, April and the others are starting to run a bit low on cash. And now the twins can't do their job at Mr. Mircamis.” Leo sighed, dodging the kick. “Ryan offered to help, but I don't know how long we can maintain that.” Leo said before stopping his attacks. Raph let his stance fall, thinking to himself. “Well, is Karai able to do anything? There's still some leftover money the foot clan has. And I doubt anyone wants to go back to algae and worms.” He said, crossing his arms. Leo shuttered at the memory. “We've talked about that, it's just there's no legal free labor, and if Karai and shini can't pay the soldiers, they will surely leave.” Leo said. “Some honorable ninjas, but at this point, why is the foot clan even around? It seems like a lost cause to be honest.” Raph sassed, making Leo just glare at him. “Look, we just need to figure something out, but right now, we have other issues to deal with.” Leo sighed, turning to the door. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dirk Savage walked beside Hunter through a corridor, a gun in hand. “Those Kraathatrogon's are one crazy creature.” He said, holding his wrist out to read the text produced by his watch. “It's the producer of Mutagen, but the substance fails to work properly in our dimension.” Hunter turned his head to him, mask still over his face. “If they want to further enhance this Antigen.” Dirk tilted and scratched at his head. “They're gonna need a lot more research.” He finished lowering his hand and marching forward. Hunter faced forward, nodding his head. “What matters is that we don't come back empty-handed.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the main area of the lair, many of the teens just stared at the TV. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The tiny purple elves were peeking through a gate. ‘Smarty, what do I do? I've always wanted to see the lake. But father isn't letting us go.’ The girl said, holding her mushroom hat. ‘Don't worry, lady, no harm will come from you going. We just won't tell him.’ The girl smiled. ‘That's a great idea!’ She cheered, walking out the gate. A bird swept down to the ground. ‘Ahh!’ The bird swallowed her up, leaving the hat on the ground. ‘Noooooo!’ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Haha!” Mei laughed as the others watched in confusion. “Well, that escalated quickly.” Kiba said, tilting her head. “Yeah, it's like the bird was just waiting there.” Kohanna added. Cody stretched out his arms. “Sleeping on concrete had to be one of the most painful experiences of my life.” He said, cracking his back. “Why didn't you use pillows or a pallet of some kind? Thalos has been sleeping on a cot for over a year.” Irillia asked. “Well, we were a bit preoccupied with the news last night. I didn't exactly plan on sleeping in the sewer.” He groaned as his spine cracked. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Ok, we will be heading out again. But now Ryan is already here. So don't go getting into trouble, like sneaking out or mutating plants.” Leo said as the teens stood at the entrance to the lair with Ryan behind them. They glanced at each other and nodded. “We won't be back until long after you're asleep, so eat some leftover pizza for dinner.” Karai said, crossing her arms. “Though me, Casey, and Angel will probably get here first.” Vine added. “Just don't do anything crazy while we're gone.” Raph finished as the teens nodded again. “Make sure to keep an eye on them, especially the young ones who are very sneaky.” Mikey said as he and the others began to leave the lair. Ash rolled his eyes and walked away, leaving Mei to blush in embarrassment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The four girls were training in the dojo, practicing their aim by throwing kunai at thin bamboo posts. Irillia tossed three of them, each one missing by a hair. “Agh! Seriously!” She growled. Kohanna threw her three, landing one of them and another bouncing off the side. She groaned, rubbing her face as Kiba went her turn. She made two but one of which was barely hanging on and fell shortly after. “Well, it's better than nothing.” She sighed, stepping aside for Iris to go. Dakota and Cody entered the room watching as Iris focused her eyes and tossed the three knives. Each one landed at the top of a post, earning a smirk on her face. ”Whoah” Kiba began to slowly clap as the others watched in awe before joining. “Thank you, thank you, no need to applaud.” Iris laughed, bowing satirically. Cody picked up a kunai blade and looked at it. “Could I try?” He asked, stepping forward. The girls turned to him. “I mean, I guess. As long as you don’t do anything to reckless.” Kohanna shrugged. He snickered and slung it at the post, missing it completely. They all gasped as it flew threw the air and landed nearly hitting the picture of master splinter and the turtles. Releasing a sigh of relief, the four girls glared at him. “Be careful!” Iris groaned, taking the other knife from his hand. “Ha, my bad.” He laughed nervously as Dakota shook his head. “I have some of my cards if anyone wants a reading.” He said, shuffling the cards in his hands. They all glanced at each other before irillia snickered. “Sounds fun.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dakota had three stacks of cards on the floor. “Pick the stack you're most drawn to, using your intuition.” He said as Irillia sat in front of him. She looked down at them for a moment before pointing at the one to the right. He took the stack and laid out the 5 cards while putting the other cards away. He looked at the set for a moment as everyone watched. “It seems you have a life full of adventure waiting for you.” He said, holding up one of the cards. “One full of action, loss, surprises, and love.” He continued holding the other four. Irillia narrowed her eyes before nodding. “Well, what does that mean?” Kiba asked, rubbing her head. “However, it means to you.” He answered, shrugging his shoulders. “Seems kinda vague, though. Couldn't that qualify to anyone?” Iris said, watching from next to them. Dakota sighed. “Ok, in that case, why don't you go next.” He said, re-shuffling the cards. Iris lightly rolled her eyes and sat in front of him. Dakota placed the three stacks down before Iris pointed to the one in the middle. He unveiled the cards as Iris tapped her fingers on the floor. His face shifted in thought as he stared at the cards. “What?” She asked tilting her head. He quickly gazed up at her and back to the cards. “Well, uh, this might seem kinda crazy, but.” He presented the cards, making her and the others go wide-eyed. “It's the exact same thing as Irillias.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Angel, Vine, and Casey walked down the halls of the EPF headquarters. “Ok, Bishop should be preparing a meeting in the research sector.” Angel said, turning to Vine as he nodded and then to Casey, who was just looking at the floor. “You don't think we're being too harsh or anything, right?” He asked, making Angel pause. “What do you mean?” Angel asked as Casey looked over at them. “You know, shutting our family away. Dakota and Cody don't want to be stuck in the sewer, but it's too dangerous for them not to be.” He ranted. “Well, maybe it is harsh, but it's still what's best for them. You shouldn't feel bad for being worried.” Vine said, exchanging a look with Angel. “Yeah, but since when did being prohibited from going somewhere or doing something stop us?” Casey shrugged. “They're going to go off and do things whether we want them to or not, and most of them don't have any idea what they can and can not do because they've been shut away for so long.” Angel looked down as Casey sighed. “Yet even though I know this, I'm still too paranoid to let them be. It's like we can't win.” He said, rubbing his face. Vine and Angel's faces fell. “I know. We get it. Things are just a bit tense right now.” Angel said as she and Vine stood at his sides and walked forward. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leo, Mikey, and Karai were rummaging around the trashed array of vehicles and technology in the military junkyard. “Ok, guys, see anything that looks at least a little bit useful.” Leo asked, rubbing his head. Karai threw an artillery barrel over her shoulder. “Nothing really. It feels more like just scraps of metal.” Mikey popped out of some of the rubble from next to Leo. “Guys! Guys! Look at this!” He pulled out a large arrowhead-shaped Kranng device. “Look, it's a part of one of those cool lasers the EPF uses!” He said, pointing it at them. “Agh!” The two flinched as Mikey laughed. “Really, Mikey, this is heavy equipment. You can't just go aiming it at anyone.” Leo groaned, lowering his guard and making his way over to him. Leo and Karai bent down to it as Mikey griped. “Well, at least I found something. You guys have just been shoveling metal.” Karai took the EPF laser from his hands and hauled it over her shoulder. “This should have some use. I'll go put in the shell razor.” She said as Leo looked down at Mikey, who was only smirking. “Just keep digging for more stuff.” He said, walking over to a different junk pile. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iris's head looked down at her book, a prehistoric armadillo on the page. “Why did I have to get wrapped up in this mutant lockdown? I don't even have a mutant form like my father does. Yet I've been down here my entire life.” She groaned from on top of the ramp next to the periscope. “Hey Iris!” She looked down from the ledge seeing Dakota standing next to the TV. “The others are all training in the dojo!” Iris just ignored it, more interested in her book and the grate above her. Dakota sighed before gripping and climbing the bars of the ramp. He sat down beside her, pushing the dyed hair from his face. “Is everything ok?” Iris glanced at him as she rested her cheek on her hand. “Yeah, just finishing up this book.” She said, looking down at it. The boy lowered his head. I have some more drawings I can show you if you're interested.” He said reaching for his phone. “That’s cool, but I'm not really in the mood for art.” Iris said a frown forming on her face. Dakota turned to her for a moment before looking up at the grate, which had only the light of cars, and street lights to shine through. “Wanna know something that makes me sad” Iris paused her reading raising a brow at him. “I've only seen the stars a couple times in my entire life.” He said, leaning back and looking at the grate. “This city emits so much light you hardly ever get the chance to really see them.” Iris tilted her head to him. “But knowing that they're out there and simply covered up makes me even more upset about not seeing them. You know like that old phrase of knowing what is beyond your reach.” He finished turning to her. The two of them sat there in an awkward silence, Iris not saying anything as Dakota only looked at her. Her face fell, looking back down at the image in her book. “Are you really ok only living your life off the words and pictures you see in books?” Iris's eyes widened before turning to him. He had a concerned expression as she lowered her head and slowly closed the book. He smirked. “Another unfortunate thing about the lack of stars is the lack of astrology.” He said, making her snicker. “Yeah yeah.” Iris laughed. “Let's just hope that by the end of our lives, we get to see what's hidden from us.” She said with a small smile. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the natural history museum storage, a director was going through the collection of artifacts for the new Kraang exhibit. An empty mutagen canister, a Hamato shuriken, A Laser gun, and a kraang exoskeleton propped up together. He stepped back from the arrangement before walking over to his desk which held a draped container. He slowly pulled back the curtain to a tank, a sly smirk on his face. “Perfect.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vine, Angel, and Casey entered the research sector of the EPF, being greeted by Bishop at the door. “Hello Hamato members; it's been a while since we last communicated.” Bishop said with a small smile. “Yes, it's been many years, but we've come here because we need some help.” Angel said, turning to the rest of the room before Bishop nodded. “I've assembled different members of assistance for you to meet with.” The three of them walked to their arranged seating as Bishop sat at the other end of the table. “Now what is it you wanted to discuss?” A tall lanky man said, still standing up from next to Bishop and General Griffin the second. Angel glanced at Casey and Vine before clearing her throat. “Director Bronze. There has been a rising force in the community regarding mutants. They call themselves The Humanists or Anthropocentrists.” She said, pulling up their diamond symbol and handing it to an assistant who projected it at the center of the table. Bishop looked at it with confusion while General Griffin II seemed unfazed. “We thought we had taken them down around 12 years, but they have managed to come back even more powerful than before. Using Krang and Utrom technology, they have advanced weaponry designed to make the Mutagen in the bodies of your allies unstable to the point it turns them feral.” She said as a green dart showed up on the holographic image. Bishop's face fell, the image shifting to Mondo and Rockwell and their state. “If they improve these chemicals called Antigen, it could do worse.” She continued. Casey raised his head. “Yes, this could endanger every mutant in the city and the people around them.” Bronze lowered his head to the images. “These are the same people you guys requested help for last time.” The three nodded. “Yes, and we know that in order to stop them and not risk the lives of this city and our families, we will need help.” Vine added, looking to Bishop. “This criminal group successfully kidnapped 4 members of the mighty mutant animals along with their stockpile of supplies. So, we need more resources to create a cure and fight back, such as Mutagen, manpower, and technology.” Angel finished, resting her hands on the table. General Griffin II glared, crossing her arms. “More manpower means more people willing to fight. I'm sorry, but nobody in the armed forces of the EPF would be willing to put their lives on the line over a minor crime syndicate targeting Mutants.” Angel's eyes widened before the three of them glanced at each other. “I'm sorry, but given how we have been willing to put our lives forward to help take down and deal with the Kraang, Dregg, and countless other threats, shouldn't you be willing to do the same.” Angel said, turning her head to Bronze. He turned off the projector on the table, sitting himself down. “We would help, but this group isn't high enough of a threat to need access to our government resources.” “So you won't support your allies. You realize there is no other government organization we can go to. If one of our friends even walked into a police station they would be met with screams and threats. We’re stuck having to deal with this ourselves, and we’re asking for help from the only place we can. And with all the help we’ve provided in the past we are a worthy ally. So tell me what happens when the turtles are targeted?” Angel said holding her head up high. “You will lose more than you gain by ignoring this.” Angel said, clenching her fist under the table. “It was my grandfather who encountered those turtles, not me. I have yet to even glimpse at them. And from what he said they acted like delinquents.” General Griffin II said, looking to the side. “Well they aren’t. And even if they were what harm would come out of your help. Even outside your allies there are also many innocents in danger. Many of the mutants in this city are innocent people who got mutated in the madness that has happened during the kraang invasion.” Angel said lowering her head. “An estimated 3500 individuals in this city that have been mutated and therefore gone missing.” Bishop added typing at the screen in his hands. “Yes all those missing people you have yet to find due to their mutations. If those weapons are used on them, then their entire lively hood and opportunity to return to society would be gone.” Vine said shaking his head. ”So what is it we should put our efforts in, the people we have now or the ones that were once human and not anymore.” Griffin said holding her hands together, while Angel’s face shifted in shock before settling into faint anger. ”Well with all do respect i would hope you put effort in both.” She said forcing out a laugh. ”Look we understand your concern here, but to put it simply we need to keep our values in line. And Mutants are simply not the EPF’s primary concern at the moment.” Bronze said lowering his gaze. Vine looked down, trying to hide his glare before Casey turned to the Utrom. “Bishop, both Leatherhead and Slash have been taken; if those two went feral, countless people would be at risk. All we are asking for is a token of your gratitude.” Casey said before turning to the others. Bishop looked down, rubbing his chin. “This is indeed a dangerous situation, but the Utroms will need time if they are to provide something.” “We don't have time. We need this no-.” Vine started before getting kicked in the shin. “We understand. We'll take whatever you can give, Bishop. Thank you.” Angel said, bowing her head, quickly followed by Vine and Casey. Bishop nodded as the other two EPF members stayed to themselves. The three guests stood themselves up, shaking hands with the group. “Thank you for your time.” Angel finished as Bishop handed them his card. “I have my own suspicions about this. Call for backup from the Utroms in case of an emergency.” Bishop finished nodding his head to Casey before closing the door. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dakota and Iris both laid on their backs across the ramp. “Hey Iris? Would it be ok for you to wander around?” He laughed, turning his head to her. “What do you mean by wander?” She asked seeming confused. “I mean I could take you to that museum.” He said, moving to lie on his side. “You mean going topside?” She asked, raising a brow at him. “Yep, Ryan's stuck having to watch everyone in the dojo and get his architectural plans done at the same time.” Iris looked back up to the grate, thinking for a moment. “It's been just one day, and you already want to sneak out.” Dakota rolled his eyes. “Well, I'm certainly not as used to it as you are.” He said before looking down and noticing Cody entering the room. Cody gazed up at them, simply crossing his arms and snickering while his brother pointed and gestured to him to keep an eye out. Cody gave him a thumbs-up with a smirk before turning back to the dojo. “Here come with me. I know how to get there without leaving the sewer.” He said, holding his hand out. Iris looked at his palm hesitantly. “And then, hopefully, you'll get to see one of those Giant sloth’s.” Iris's eyes widened slightly before slowly reaching out for his hand. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April, Donny, Mona, and Raph walked through an old lab, looking amongst the shelves and drawers. “Man, this sucks! There's nothing here anymore!” Raph yelled, slamming a trash can into the wall. “Calm down, Raphael; there are still more locations to search.” Mona said, placing a box on a lab table. April looked around. “I don't know, guys. We've looked in so many places, yet everything is gone.” Donnie looked down at his scanner. “Those humanists must have taken it. We're the only ones who even know about these Krang facilities outside the Utroms, foot clan, and Mighty Mutant Animals. And I bet those Anthro-creeps will use whatever they can find.” He said, turning to the group. “So how do you think they knew about them?
